Welcome to a truly special milestone year for our chapter! As the District of Columbia Chapter of AFWA celebrates its 75th anniversary, I am deeply honored to serve as your President.
Reflecting on 75 Years of Impact
Since our chapter started April 6, 1950, we have proudly stood as a pillar of professional support and advancement for women in accounting and finance in the DC metro area. Now, seven-and‑a‑half decades later, our chapter continues to embody AFWA’s mission - to enable women across all accounting and finance fields to realize their full personal, professional, and economic potential and contribute to the future development of our profession.
Looking Ahead - Building on a Strong Foundation
The DC Chapter is focused on expanding our membership and deepening the value we provide to professionals at every stage of their careers. We are committed to offering educational opportunities and networking events that foster connection and growth. In addition, we will continue to support the next generation of leaders through student outreach and scholarship initiatives that align with our mission to advance women in accounting and finance.
